It's 2011. Hard to believe, but here I sit on the cusp of diving into my 30's this year. About this time every year I have the same thoughts: this year I'm really going to change. or..This year I'm going to work on blah bitty blah. I'm starting this blog to help me stay on track with my resolutions. My husband is pretty positive it won't last more than a month. I intend to prove him wrong, very wrong.
So far I'm doing quite well with my first New Year's resolution (procrastinate less: hence, starting the blog on the FIRST!).
I'm pretty sure my year resolutions will turn to monthly resolutions. That seems much more reasonable for me! So far I have (in no particular order)...
- procrastinate less
lose'monitor' weight (isn't this on most lists?)- eat more fruits and veggies
- cook 2 (or more!) meals a week
- show my appreciation towards others more
- read more books
- paint the bedroom wall
- have 2 (or more!) official dates a month (offical meaning we unload critter on someone and go out somewhere for more than 2 hours)
- apply for master's
- be more proactive with keeping in touch with friends
- become more comfortable with The Grays
- try to be more of a list maker (i tend to not make lists...and forget stuff -oops.)
- run 3 5ks (this is a huge deal...to be discussed later)
- learn how to small talk
- create a family craft for each holiday
- go on a family weekend get away for no reason at all other than to make great memories
- say a positive comment before something negative sneaks out of my mouth
side note: for some reason I do NOT like even numbered lists - so if something random should pop into a later post...that's why.
I am so excited about your blog! You are pretty ambitious to have so many resolutions but I think it's great you are off to a good start by following through with the blog. Can't wait to see how it goes :).- Aubrey
ReplyDeleteLoving this. I think they are all great except for the craft thing. That would make my year sooooo much harder.
ReplyDelete- You know who this is.
